April Sew Day

One of our goals for the year is to have regular sew days as a guild, and this year's second sew day was a hit with everyone who attended.

We were also very lucky to have one of our members, Sarah, teach a workshop on her own method of quilt as you go.

Thanks to everyone who attended! We'd love to have you join our guild and get in on great group activities such as this one.

April Meeting Recap

Our April meeting was a great time! We started with an event we called the "Quilting Smackdown." Beth gave two people the same quilt, then set them loose to see how they would quit it! We had fun pairing up those who quilt on domestic machines versus long arm machines. Below you can see Staci and Diane going at it!

Block Lottery with the wonky log cabin was a success! Thanks to everyone who participated, and come to May's meeting to see the next block we will make.

Nancy brought a beautiful, springy orange peel quilt. So delightful!

Agnes brought this beautiful baby quilt of gingham. And the back is just as much of a statement as the front!

Susan brought this great art quilt that is so bold and personalized!

Lisa brought this gorgeous scrappy quilt! Love all those warm colors.

Jennifer brought this great variation on a strip quilt- love the stripey half square triangles.

And check out the back!

Staci brought this great alternate grid, minimalist piece.

We have several small groups within our guild, and one of them issued themselves a Morse Code Challenge! Look at these visually stunning pieces they brought to show us! Great job Staci, Karen, and Laura!

Great job everyone! Can't wait to see you at our May meeting on May 8.
