For those who may be new to the guild or haven’t yet discovered the world of Legit Kits, Mike has created something pretty extraordinary. Legit Kits are quilt kits inspired by remarkable works of art, architecture, maps, and cultural icons. Rather than simply reproducing an image, the patterns translate these subjects into intricate, graphic quilts that challenge quilters to think—and sew—in new ways.
The quilts are anything but ordinary. They can involve hundreds, sometimes thousands, of pieces, carefully designed to create incredible detail and dimension. And while they may look intimidating at first glance, Legit Kits are designed to give quilters the tools and guidance to actually make these ambitious projects a reality.
And then there was Shark Tank.
For many of us, the last chapter ended with Mike’s successful appearance on the show, followed by a kick-ass viewing party with the “Who’s Who of Oklahoma’s finest quilters” in attendance. It was definitely a night to remember!
