After months of selling tickets, it's about time to draw a winner for our OKCMQG Charity Quilt!

If you've been putting it off, don't waste any more time before buying your tickets and supporting Anna's House Foundation, providing Foster Family Support in Oklahoma.

Go to the button on the right side of our blog where it says "Donate". Tickets are 1 for $1 or 6 for $5. Tell your friends! Spread the word! We want to give Anna's House as generous a gift as possible!

Flaunt Your Finish- June 2016

Are you in a summer slump or having a summer jump? I don't know if that makes sense, but let's go with it and see what our members are pumping out this summer!

Agnes always has something cooking. She made a gorgeous baby quilt for a friend in Hungary using the Astrodelic pattern. Check out what those quilted swirls do for the border!

Agnes and her neighborhood craft group have come up with a great welcome gift for new neighbors- stenciled tote bags. Love it! So many possibilities!

Debbie finished this beautiful quilt with fabrics by David Butler of Parson Gray. She pieced it and the lovely quilting is by Wanda Pinkerton.

Elizabeth took an old quilt top she had from a swap and made it into a gift for her niece, nicknamed Squirrel. The back is perfect!  I have eyed that fabric many times just because it makes me smile.

Cynthia sent in this beautiful pillow. I love the knocked down pot! That's how some of my plants are looking right about now- ha!

Chanda sent in her Budapest challenge! I love the Bohemian feel! Great use of a rich color palette.

Melissa finished up this gorgeous quilt for her son, Lane. In her words- "He has been begging for a new one for months. He wanted orange and blue, and he also picked out the Carolyn Friedlander print for the white area. I quilted the solid areas with 'organic' lines using my free motion foot and the white areas with a meandering design. It's backed with Carolyn Friedlander's wide back in blue crosshatch."

Love the combination! Simple but with so much depth!

Last but not least, Dee Dee made this as a gift for a friend with cancer. I am sure this beautiful gift will bring her much comfort as she gets through this!

We don't have a meeting in July, so save up your finishes to be featured in next month's Flaunt Your Finish! Thank you to all our members for sharing your art with us!
