We had a great meeting in February! There were quite a few new visitors and we all got to know each other better through the super-fun Quilt Olympics planned for us by Beth. Who knew there was so much quilty knowledge/physical prowess in our guild?
Our first block lottery of the year was an amazing success! Almost 300 blocks were brought, which allowed us to draw 4 winners. Thanks to Debbie for spearheading this new, fun project!
We had a lot of fun show and shares, as well!
Sue was inspired by our block lottery choice and after perusing Pinterest, she went ahead and whipped up this awesome mini. How cool!
Leslie finished her president's challenge from last year in shades of periwinkle- very nice color choices!
Regina made this beautiful quilt with her own variation on a pattern she picked up. What a great way to use a beautiful fabric line!
Sarah shared another beautiful improv mini. She is a master of quilt as you go!
New member Eva brought this beautiful piece she made for her daughter. Love it!
Eva made this quilt from her son- her first quilt! She made it from triangle scraps. Awesome scrappiness!
Agnes made this STRIKING economy block quilt out of Amy Butler fabrics. How gorgeous!
And this month the board presented its first ACE leadership pin to Shirlene Davis, in honor of all she does for our guild, including coordinating our Winter Quilt Show presence and serving as past president.

January Finishes Flaunted!
Our members were able to finish up some great work this month, getting the year off to a great start.
Becca finished this gorgeous mini for the Modern Quilt Guild Swap. Her partner is so lucky!
Here is a great look at the iPad case/bag that Jennifer made for her sister in law. She even designed it, herself! What great work!
Debbie made this beautiful piece for her daughter to take to a Walk to Emmaus Church Retreat this spring.
Such wonderful work- thank you for sharing! Can't wait to see what else this year brings!
